Atlanta-based IT Firm Joins Community Fundraiser as Bronze Sponsor for Second Consecutive Year

ATLANTA – May 1, 2018 – Integris®, a provider of IT support, strategy and services for small and medium-sized businesses and nonprofits, was a 2018 bronze sponsor of the 24th annual Lauren’s Run and CURE Picnic. The fundraising event was held on April 29 at the Concourse Office Park in Atlanta, Georgia. Integris’s team members and their families participated in the 5K/2K run/walk, which was followed by a fun-filled picnic with entertainment and prizes.

Lauren’s Run was founded in memory of Lauren Zagoria and Lauren Kochman, two little girls who each battled with cancer. The yearly charity race is presented by the nonprofit organization CURE Childhood Cancer, which has raised more than $3.8M for lifesaving pediatric cancer research since its inception in 1975. Integris supported the organization as a sponsor for the first time in 2017, and this is the firm’s second year as a Bronze sponsor.

As one of CURE’s four annual signature events, Lauren’s Run includes a 5K race, a 2K fun run/walk and a Tot Trot. The event brings more than 2,500 runners together for a celebration that has become a reunion with families, schools, and companies to support the fight against cancer. After the races, participants, along with pediatric cancer victims and their families, attend the CURE Annual Picnic. Attendees enjoy a picnic lunch, followed by games, music, dancing, face painting, oversized inflatables, prizes and more.

“Giving back to our community is an important part of our corporate culture and Lauren’s Run is one of the many ways that we embrace that philosophy,” said Integris CEO Hamish Davidson. “We’re proud to be apart of this event and support the outstanding work CURE has done to minimize the impact of childhood cancer”

CURE was founded by Emory University pediatric oncologist Dr. Abdel Ragab, who organized a group of his patients’ parents to initiate a pediatric oncology research program and found CURE. In 1981, the organization provided a significant donation to establish a research lab on the Emory campus. That lab grew to include a new outpatient clinic in 1987 and became a fully equipped childhood cancer research lab in 1989.
