Managed Services Provider is Instrumental in Technology Strategy and Procurement for Nonprofit Organization’s Expansion
Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) March 25, 2013
ProviDyn®, a provider of IT strategy, services, and support for small and medium-sized businesses and nonprofits has expanded its work with Partnership Against Domestic Violence (PADV) by helping prepare the organization to open Georgia’s largest shelter. The shelter, which opened in late February, has been a year in the making and doubles the organization’s capacity for women and children with 14,000 square feet and 55 beds.
Prior to the expansion, ProviDyn assessed and stabilized the organization’s existing network and provided recommendations for upgrading equipment. This ultimately resulted in PADV moving its IT infrastructure to ProviDyn’s private cloud. This has allowed PADV to efficiently share information across three locations and move its headquarters with minimal downtime. Building on that success, PADV asked ProviDyn to extend their expertise to multiple aspects of the new facility including a selection of vendors, purchase and installation of security cameras and keyless entry. ProviDyn was also instrumental in the selection of a new telephone system and equipment for an in-shelter computer lab.
“ProviDyn is a tremendous asset to our organization and we see them as more than a vendor - they are an extension of our team,” said Meagan Fulmer, president, and CEO of PADV. “Opening this new shelter was a tremendous undertaking and we had countless managed services providers to chose from; but, at the end of the day, ProviDyn knows our business and understands the nuances of working with nonprofit organizations. Relying on ProviDyn to handle the technical aspects of this expansion freed up our staff to focus on the survivors, while also giving them the tools to safely and securely do their job.”
“Expanding to a new location always requires a lot of planning and preparation, especially when it comes to establishing or maintaining an organization’s technology infrastructure,” said Hamish Davidson, president and CEO of ProviDyn. “As a company, we have invested heavily in helping nonprofits by taking the technology burden out of their daily operations. In this instance, it was a great opportunity to continue providing PADV with services and strategy that will allow them to more easily provide a safe, supportive environment for battered women and their children.”
