Atlanta, Georgia – Integris®, a provider of IT support, strategy and services for small and medium-sized businesses and nonprofits, today announced it has completed the build-out of a comprehensive, connected IT infrastructure and operating framework for Covius, LLC. Integris has also been hired by the company to provide 24/7 system monitoring and problem resolution, as well as Help Desk support, for its three offices in Atlanta, New York and Salt Lake City.

Integris’s work for the 100-user firm spanned a broad reach of corporate IT solutions and services, including migrating assets from another company’s servers, deploying and configuring numerous physical servers and more than a dozen virtual servers, and installing the company’s network and VPN (virtual private network).

“Our project involved transitioning an array of assets off the rigidly controlled IT platform of a Fortune 500 firm with which we previously had a business relationship, a process that was complicated and sensitive,” said Kevin Fairris, Covius’ Managing Director of Information Technology. “We also needed to connect our data center and our multiple locations as if they were one. Integris was very skillful at handling the many intricate processes involved with these transitions. I cannot overstate what a great job they have done.”

For the project, Integris architected the separation between the two firms’ assets, meeting the challenges of numerous compliance requirements to ensure that Covius retained all of its data and functionality, intact. “Separating two companies’ respective assets and reestablishing the new components and dataset in a discrete environment is a thorny process,” noted Integris President Hamish Davidson. “It was made more difficult with stringent compliance rules that prevented us from accessing the original system directly. We devised a way to build the system without touching the old one, yet still get components and data from it to the new one.”

In addition to transitioning Covius and its assets to a new IT platform, the Integris team also built out the infrastructure for the new Atlanta office and deployed the VPN that will connect the Atlanta location with Covius’ data center and its Salt Lake City office.

“The Integris team was great about sitting in on meetings and getting everything changed over from the old system to what we wanted for ourselves,” said Fairris. “They have done a good job of getting us over that transition ‘hump.’ We have built a very good vendor relationship.”
